Electrical Associate – National role

Job description

At JTL, we believe that talent matters – and our ability to develop it in others has already made us into one of the UK’s leading work-based learning and apprenticeship providers. To build on our success in the building services engineering sector, we are now looking to strengthen our team of Associates who help us deliver exceptional training and support to thousands of JTL apprentices every year. As an Electrical Associate, you will provide occasional casework that involves undertaking workplace NVQ assessments and technical reviews. It’s all about supporting and guiding apprentices throughout their training and using your own electrical and communication skills to help them to achieve their learning objectives and develop the confidence and expertise to pursue successful careers in the industry.

What we’re looking for

  • NVQ3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation or Engineering Maintenance.

  • A recognised Health and Safety qualification (IOSH Managing Safely)
Relevant and verifiable experience within the building services engineering sector

  • Good communication, IT and organisational skills

  • Driving licence and use of a car

  • Desirable skills include Assessor Qualifications (D32, D33,A1 or TAQA),

If you have already worked with apprentices in a previous role, perfect. You will already know how to support and guide them through an apprenticeship. But if not, don’t worry. As long as you have the necessary skills and qualities, we`ll give you all the support you need.

What’s in it for you?

At JTL, we believe that our success should be shared with the people who help us create it.

That’s why rewarding our employees properly for the contribution they make matters to us.

Our benefits include:

  • Company car
  • 25 days paid annual leave
  • Occupational Sick Pay
  • Generous Group Personal Pension Scheme
  • Life Insurance
  • BUPA
  • Full BUPA Health check
  • Eye care discount
  • My JTL Rewards staff discount scheme
  • Generous corporate wear allowance
  • Gym membership discount scheme
  • Season ticket loans
  • Free occupationally relevant training
  • Financial support towards occupationally relevant qualifications

JTL is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all its employees to share and uphold this commitment in conjunction with the requirements of the Prevent Duty and the positive promotion of modern British values.
