Your challenge? To manage the CompEx Operations Team to deliver our demanding assessment, certification and licencing cycles. This is a role with multiple dimensions. In addition to maintaining all CompEx Scheme manuals and documentation, you will be responsible for the competency validation and certification of everyone on the scheme. Making sure that competency validation assessments are conducted and recorded accurately will be critically important, and you will also manage the quality management processes that underpin the performance of the scheme. More strategically, you will drive the transfer of knowledge at our annual Best Practice Conference and use your expertise to maintain and develop the IEC/ISO 17024 accreditation process.

Qualified to HNC/HND/Degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline, you will have an excellent understanding of the IEC Standards 60079 Parts 14 & 17 and ISO 80079 Parts 36 & 37. Experience of working in an explosive environment is essential, and you must combine proven management experience with a good working knowledge of the IEC/ISO 17024 standard. Your background should also include experience in an educational or training environment. First-class communication, project management and presentation skills are important – and you must have the credibility and confidence to conduct business internationally.
