Compex Compliance Manager

Job description

When it comes to protecting the safety of people working in potentially explosive industrial environments, CompEx continues to show the way ahead. We are already the recognised Global Competency Scheme of choice for technical professionals in the oil, gas and chemical industry – and we are now looking for a talented Compliance Manager to ensure that our services and qualifications always meet the exceptional standards required by our customers and regulators.

So if you want a role that combines variety and influence with real-world impact, it’s time to join our team.

You will effectively manage and reduce regulatory risk to the business by implementing robust quality assurance systems and procedures at our Approved Centres. This will include identifying and investigating quality issues, putting in place realistic action plans, producing performance reports and using your expertise to respond to compliance queries from stakeholders, customers and regulators. We will also rely on you to keep abreast of regulatory changes so that you can guide the senior management team and work with colleagues to update policies and procedures. And at a more strategic level, you will actively identify and manage opportunities for enhancing the quality and efficiency of everything we do.

What we’re looking for

Educated to at least Level 3, you must have experience working in an Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation. Your expert knowledge of post-16 vocational qualifications and assessments should be supported by proven ability to implement training centre monitoring and investigation processes – including the management of both sanctions and remedial action plans. A thorough understanding of quality assurance principles is, of course, vital, and any knowledge of e-Learning platforms, CRMs or compliance audit software would be a distinct advantage. First-class communication, project management and team-working skills are also essential.

What’s in it for you?

Add to that a valid UK passport and driving licence – and the willingness to travel in the UK and abroad as necessary – and we can promise you an attractive salary, benefits including a pension and life assurance, flexible home-based working and the kind of career prospects you would expect from a business belonging to JTL, one of the UK’s leading work-based learning providers in the building services engineering sector.
